Wellington is located at Exit 19 of I-35 (Kansas Turnpike), approximately 23 miles south of Wichita. After entering I-35 at Exit 19, you can arrive in the Wichita metro area in as little as 18 minutes. In comparison, it can take at least 20 minutes (perhaps longer if there is traffic congestion) to get from the west-side of Wichita to the east-side of Wichita on Kellogg!

Wellington is also approximately 10 minutes south of the newest entertainment destination in Kansas, the Kansas Star Casino and Equestrian Events Center. This means Wellington residents are afforded the charm of the rural country, while remaining close to big-city amenities.
