The Wellington Recycle Center opened in April of 2005 to help reduce the amount of trash going to the landfill. In its first year of operation, 447 vehicles dropped off recyclable materials in the Center. In 2007, a total of 6780 cars dropped off recyclable materials at the facility.

  The Recycle Center does not have a separate budget, but is funded through the Sanitation operations budget.

Wednesday ~ 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday ~ 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon 

These items WILL be accepted:

Paper:

Newspaper (clean and dry)
Magazines, Catalogs, & Telephone Books
Cardboard (flattened, flat finish - no wax)
Office (computer, copy paper/white & pastel and envelopes without windows. No self-adhesives or carbon paper.)

Plastics:

#1 PET (pop)
#2 HDPE (milk) rinsed
#3-#7 HDPE (colored) & bottle lids. No oil or chemical containers

Glass:

Clear
Brown
Green

Steel/tin Cans
Aluminum Cans

no aluminum foil or scrap

PLEASE HELP US PROVIDE THIS SERVICE IN AN AFFORDABLE MANNER BY REMOVING TRASH PRIOR TO BRINGING IT TO THE FACILITY.
THIS PROVIDES A FASTER SERVICE AT LESS COST.
