Safety Committee

In March 1997 a meeting was held to establish a Safety Committee. The goal of this committee was to evaluate current safety polices and make recommendations to amend or add policies.  The Safety Committee is to report to the "Executive Committee" make up of all of the Department Heads to improve the safety issues within the City.

It is the goal of the City to maintain the safest working environment possible for its' employees. A Safety Committee was established to review accidents, address safety issues, develop safety programs and promote a safe working environment. The Safety meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M.

The Safety Committee is represented by members and alternate members from each of the following departments of the City.  If you have a safety concern, we encourage you to talk with one of the members or call Bill Hellard at (620) 326-7443.
