Recycle Center to Re-Open With Modifications

The Wellington Recycle Center will be reopening with some modifications for a short period of time.  Due to the 2 month closure, we anticipate stock piles of materials and volumes of traffic that will exceed our ability to handle under normal operating conditions.  In an effort to prevent long waiting lines outside the facility, we ask citizens to follow the guidance below to assist us in getting caught up and back to normal operations over the next 2-3 weeks.

The Recycle Center will be open this Saturday ~ May 30th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (NOON) for CARDBOARD ONLY.  No other materials will be accepted on this day.

The following Saturday (June 6th), we will be accepting the regular recycling items between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, under the following schedule.  Individuals with last names beginning A-J, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and individuals with last names beginning K-Z from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  We hope this reduces excessive wait times and traffic impact around the facility.  We understand this schedule may not work for everyone, but if you have the ability to go at the recommended time, please do so for everyone’s benefit.

Beginning June 6th, all materials will need to be presorted before arriving at the Recycle Center.  This will help keep the line moving.  Unsorted materials left at the facility will not be processed.  Please refer to for items accepted and sorting requirements.

Beginning Monday June 8th, we will be open on Mondays 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM as the new schedule.  We will no longer be open on Wednesdays so we can concentrate on residential collection routes.
