Transfer Station/Landfill Information

Operating hours for the Transfer Station/Landfill:

Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sunday Closed

Closed on City observed holidays:  New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after (Friday), Christmas Day

Transfer Station/Landfill Material Fees:

Loads that are not covered will be charged double rate.

  • Household trash or refuse: $40.00 per ton
    Charged on a per pound basis of $0.02 per pound with a minimum charge of $1.50 per load.

  • Construction and demolition waste $26.00 per ton
    Charged on a per pound basis of $0.013 per pound with a minimum charge of $1.50 per load.

  • Other items:

    Household appliances (containing Freon)    $6.00 each
    Burn barrels   $8.00 each
    Used oil   $2.00 per gallon
    Antifreeze  $2.00 per gallon
    Batteries  $2.00 each
    Tires– car    $3.50 each
    Tires – car on rim   $4.50 each
    Tires – truck  $11.00 each
    Tires – truck on rim  $14.00 each
    Tires – larger  $40.00 each 
    Tires – larger on rim  $45.00 each
  •  Mixed loads of construction debris/household trash will be charged the higher rate of $40.00 per ton.


For Commercial accounts that have been pre-approved as charge accounts, payment must be paid on or before the 20th day after the date of billing rendered, a penalty of 10% of the charge shall be added to all current bills for Transfer Station services and shall be collected at the time the bill is paid. Failure or refusal of a user to pay the disposal fees is sufficient cause for discontinuing use of the facility. Failure to pay the billed invoice amount b y the due date for three (3) or more months within the previous twelve (12) month period is sufficient cause for discontinuing account privileges and/or use of the facility.
