GIS/Information Technology
The Geographic Information System (GIS) and Information Technology (IT) Department serves the GIS and IT needs for City departments. The Assistant City Manager of Utilities and IT provides general management and direction to the IT/GIS Supervisor & Technician in serving the daily ongoing IT needs for all City departments.
Support is provided for the City IT system which consists of over 100 computers, over 20 printers, 2 virtual environments, 3 Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, 2 Network-Attached Storage (NAS), 16 mobile devices, and around 115 users. The system covers a number of different buildings throughout the City and those locations outside the City proper.
The Department also supports the City of Wellington GIS System. Regarding use of the GIS system, please note the following:

Due to issues regarding Homeland Security, information on utility maps will not be made available on the site. Please contact the Building and Codes Department or Public Utilities for information regarding utilities.
