The Wellington Parks and Recreation system consists of a total of 314.52 acres. Included in that is a couple of community parks, several small neighborhood parks, a watershed park area, and sports fields. The Parks Department is a sub-department under Public Works. Parks staffing consists of a Supervisor and three (3) personnel. There are also seasonal positions in the summer.
Several Parks facilities may be reserved. The facilities are the following:
- Candy Cane City
- Melody Bowl Shelter House (located West of 218 S. High in Woods Park)
- Woods Park large shelter house (centrally located in the park)
- Century Park

Jefferson Park 1110 S. Jefferson Ave (2.0 acres)
Children’s Play Structure, Shelter House, Basketball Court, Parent Pitch/T-Ball Field.
Madison Park 1000 E. Lincoln Ave (1.4 acres)
Children’s Playground – ADA accessible, Basketball Court, and Backstop.
McKinley Park 701 W. 10th St (1.0 acre)
Children’s Playground, Basketball Court, 2 Sand Volleyball Pits.
Rock Island Ball Fields 1000 W. 4th St (6.4 acres)
2 Softball Fields, Public Restroom.
Sellers Park 601 E. Harvey Ave (13.5 acres)
6 Tennis Courts, Hibbs-Hooten Baseball Stadium, High School Football Field, Skateboard Park, Steam Engine on display, Panhandle Railroad Museum.
