This process will be followed for opening day at Wellington Lake:
March 1, 2025: Office will be open from 10am to 3pm. March 1 will be for camping on the east side of the lake. No campers permitted on lake property without a valid 2025 permit. Once permits are purchased, campers will be allowed to be brought out.
March 2, 2025: Office will be open from 10am to 3pm. Permits will be sold for the west side of the lake. Same rules apply as the day before.
March 3, 2025: Lake office open normal Monday ~ Friday hours.
Traffic will be directed to access lake property via 30th St South to NW Lake Rd and enter there. North gate on NW Lake Rd will remain open. South gate on NW Lake Rd will remain closed until 9am. At 9am, Lake Staff will arrive to unlock the gate and lead vehicles to the lake office. Patrons can then begin to line up at the permit office in the order they were parked at the gate and remain in their vehicles until their turn to enter office and purchase permits.

With operation of the lake permit office on a full time basis, recreational permits for Wellington Lake are not available at City Hall. For permits outside normal business hours, a drop box is available for use at the Lake permit office.
